Icelandic Chickens

I practiced with my new camera today. I think it is too advanced for me.

I am gonna have to figure out what all those icons on the screen mean. Anyway, I took these pictures all on the same setting, "auto."

Beautiful kathy! Looks like you still have some raking to do. It's times like these that make me appreciate my relatively treeless property!

those New Hampshires!

Too funny. I named my girl Rusty which is my Mom's nickname. When she was here yesterday I said "look how fat Rusty is getting." You should have seen my mother's reaction!

Boy those ice hens have great camoflage colors! No wonder they do freerangeing! They all look great. Isn't it funny how much they look like the American Game chickens. I guess its only natural for them to follow the same color paths in their evolution.
But Kathy those Hamps just knock your eyes out! Never saw such beautiful production fowl in my life. They make hatchery Hamps look like a different breed. Joe (Bandjoe from Okla.) has promised me a start of them. He said he has raised a few this year. Dang I really don't need another breed!lol

Picasso is an excellent name for him Kathy, he sure looks like a one of a kind.

The mottled/spotted rooster also looks like a one of a kind, a black breasted duckwing with a spotted pattern gene thrown in. Great !!

I also love your Hamps, my mother had them, after Buff Orps her favorites. A wonderful breed. Yours are stunning.

Another mild day, in the high 30s, rain forcast, beats deep snow. Life is good !

Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens and Pack Goats.

Kathy, they sure do camoflage well! Beautiful pictures! The New Hampshires are truly stunning.

Jake, sorry about your van. Hope it's not too much trouble to fix. How are the Icelandics doing in their new coop?

Hi Kelly

It may be a matter of them having to order the side window, but it has to be. Life goes on.

The Icees are happy as can be in the new quarters, except Blau, he is in a big dog kennel now til I can finish a section for him, Isi and Bjorn both started in on him, he could fight off one but not two, so he is confined for now, soon he will have his own section with a couple of the girls to keep him company. The Contessa was always his companion so she will be with him and probably Blue, the silver chick. There should be some very nice blue and part blue chicks from them all. I am looking forward to seeing what they will be.

Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens and pack goats.
