Joyous start knocking out those Nella Brooders !

I need about 7-8 of them , a couple 2' high and about 6 8' long by 4' H.

It will be, the 2' ones will nicely double deck. I will be moving somewhere here in MI this year so these are the easiest to move.

Who else has Icelandics incubating?

I am going to be doing both RC featherlegged this year and standard SCs, probably about 2:1 I think.

Isi gets hens plus a white feather legged who is SC so I am hoping the featherlegs get well represented in the flock. We shall see.

36 Icelandics.....I'll be candling tonight to see what we got. I put in 3 of Elska's pullet eggs just to see if they'd hatch. They are kinda small still. I have two confirmed broodies and a possible third. I need at least one more before next weekend so each will have 9 or fewer eggs.

Joy's are a little over a week ahead of mine.....can't wait to see pics!

Joy, Did you separate them by the pen written on the egg or are they all together?

Wow !

Good luck Ladies, hope to hear good things by the weekend ! Do want to see those Icelandic numbers growing !

I'm hoping by fall to have ~ 2 dz hens/pullets, and 3-4 roosters, and many of them with feathered legs. And crests .

Here are the first pictures!!!! These are mostly Mary (not a farm)s Icelandics with a few of my own cuckoo and red dorkings. Mary I didn't think to divide them up so they are all mixed up. So far temp and humidity all good!
