Make sure you wear some nirtle gloves too that stuff will soak in through your skin in the blink of an eye. All of my birds sat still enough on their roosts I did them there while they slept.

I am in the same boat as you... I have over a hundred birds. I want to do it soon, but the thought of how long this whole thing will take is a deterrent. LOL I, too, will do it at roosting time, set the birds out of the coop when done, and then one by one, get them done and put them back into the coop. It is not something I am looking forward to.

When I treat my bunch of birds- I go in at night with a head lamp, marking pen (for livestock)- though pink flysoff spray would work too- blue cote wouldn'twork too well for me as I have quite a few black chickens, and what ever I want to put on or in them. I lock myself in the coop, and start picking them up or treating them where they are perching. I try to get everyone- but sometimes miss one or two as they start moving around. I go out the next night, after they are roosting again- and can usually pick out the ones I missed last night...

To restrain them by yourself it can help to wrap their wings/body in an old towel....a "chicken burrito"!

My computer has been taking 53 minutes to boot up, and many nights halfway through the process I'm already falling asleep at the computer...

So, sorry for delay in answering!

These are great ideas, especially about the spritz on blue kote. I don't have any black chickens, so I think that will be perfect. I was going to do it tonight but the weather turned cold and I woosed out. Hopefully tomorrow evening.
