Idk what I'm doing.

Awesome thanks for the advice.
A) I'm almost 30.
B) already checked city codes and following them except they force us to buy 6 and allowed 3.
C) not Easter pets. Since we moved to the country we've wanted chickens and just looking for advice.
I'm not berating you. I'm informing others.

If you live in the 'country' why are you limited to 3 females? :hmm

Wow..she only came here for advice and now she’s getting chewed out?!

Fine line between being helpful and rude. I know a lot of people who start off with a Rubbermaid or something similar. She stated she is getting a larger brooder tomorrow.

Wasn’t this post about sexing? Quit bashing! Quit assuming she just wanted them as “a pet of the week”. With the right amount of dedication and willingness to learn, I don’t see a problem!

So you've said your peace, now let me try

thats what all the stores force you to buy. I checked with 3 stores and the county before buying any.
I'm not talking about the purchase limit. I'm asking about the property limit. Are you in backroads, rolling fields country or Suburbia? Do you have free roaming dogs in the area? Dogs are the worst predator. Hard to stop them. I know.

No one was bashing, just informing people about the responsibility of poultry keeping. We gave advice that we give to anyone seeking advice. The way the OP took it had nothing to do with us and everything to do with them. You need the facts and the truth about having chickens before buying them on a whim or without investigating the situation before purchase. C’est la vie.
