If a person cannot spell, would you still sell birds to them??

Abillity to speell or not, should not be your concern.

And if you are selling your rooster you can not control what happens to that rooster after he's gone. If you want to control the rooster's fate, keep him.

Other than that no need for drama.

I don't think that I would hold his being able to spell against him, but he would have to pay for the bird, Just cause they can't spell doesn't mean he wouldn't treat him right, In fact alot of the best people I've ever known has had disabilities.

i know people who cannot spell correctly them selves and yet are very well qualified in other departments of education.

i think if anythign i would speak to the person head on and tellthem your worries and what you want for the bird and not negotiate as free can be a bit cheeky but could be just that persons way of " if you dont ask you dont get !!"

Personally, I don't think that's much of an excuse. If he isn't intelligent enough to spell right, how am I to know that he is intelligent enough to, say, make sure that the roosters comb is protected or make sure that there aren't any fights?

I guess I'm just a old grump, but being the granddaughter of an English teacher and the sister of two teachers and sister in law to another, I wouldn't even answer that email in the first place. There are and have been plenty of people with dyslexia and other disabilities for ages but it's only a very tiny percentage. Yet today, more and more, people are unable or unwilling to communicate so as to be universally understood out of habit. Excessive text speak and abbreviating things that normally aren't abbreviated are just my pet peeves. If you want to be understood, use the language at least as well as you can. I'm no English major myself and I know my grammar is off but I do try to be understood. If a person doesn't even try, I'm not going to pay attention to them. That's just the way I am. And if I'm wrong, if that is the one in thousands that really does have a problem, I'm sorry.

Sometimes folks just don't get a real chance at an education I guess, but not all are bad. But you have to go with your gut feeling as well and if it creeps you out avoid it
