If the ee's are all pullets..... And I have a fertilized egg......

I hope it turns out that its not a roo. The body looks like a girl, but the tail looks roo-ish.
I had originally thought that maybe the egg was not fertile as well, but was picking the most likely to be a roo.
I hope you get to keep him/her because it is such a beautiful bird

I cant wait to find out what it really is

Ya know...come to think of it. If you have a fertile egg, then you should have a crower. I don't think I have ever seen a roo that mates before learning to crow.

If you don't have a crower, then no roo (especially if they are all around laying age).

I have... I SURE have.. I've seen 6 week olds trying to mate... course.. I've had A LOT of roosters over the last year. Probably close to 50 or more..

Oh, ok. I stand corrected.

I do hope all my hens are just that- hens! The boys would be heartbroken on a couple if we had to rehome them. They especially love Chickmunk (My reddest EE) & Rocki (BR). Speaking of which- Rocki laid,s o I know she's a girl!

I REALLY think you have all pullets. I had 4 pullets and sometimes when I cracked an egg open I could swear it looked like the picture of the fertilized egg, but I know it wasn't b/c I would get 4 eggs in a day, with 4 different shades of color, from each of the 4 birds i had. No other chickens could have gotten to them--for sure. I really think yours are all girls, and those eggs are not fertile.

By the way, my EE roo was very obviously a roo by 20 weeks - the long, curved tail feathers were a dead giveaway. I don't think any of yours look like boys.
