Iffy looking egg - candling picture

This is a duck egg on day 4. I know it’s super early, but this looks extra abnormal to me. That glob in the egg floats around freely. Sadly it is one of the Runner eggs that I bought.

I don't know anything about hatching duck eggs - but that doesn't look good to me - possibly the embryo died or the egg was very poor quality.
@Jenbirdee, @ruthhope, or @Miss Lydia might know something.?

Yeah, I’ll leave it in at least till day 7. I can’t complain about these Runner eggs because they were cheap - but I’m not convinced they’re the best quality

This one also looks weird. The yolk is sort of greenish/grey.

I don’t see any cracks (from your photos) so, personally, I’d leave them for another few days and re candle

I would keep my fingers crossed for both.... but don’t hold your breath

You should have veining by now. But I never give up on an egg w an intact shell until about 10 days w no signs of veining.

Some shells can make it look different then it is
I have a few chicken eggs going and it’s different even though they are all blue.
