They are all so adorable! Can't wait until I have some!

I've noticed I seem to suffer an uncontrolable urge to view any and all chicken photos, they are just so darn irresistable!

They don't have names just yet as we wanted to wait for their personalities to start showing!

They grow fast. They start like this:

Then grow to this:

And then:

It is absolutely amazing how they grow and change. The last pic if from today and they are 12 weeks and 5 days old now.

As much as I love how cute the chicks are, I'm really looking forward to seeing what they grow into. Physically and personality - wise. And the eggs in return for all the good care we are giving!

Thanks for sharing your pics. Keep 'em coming!

My husband catches me looking at chicken pictures almost every time I'm on the computer. He calls it "chicken porn".

I have 14 little Barred Rock chicks that are now 8 days old and there is a story behind them. We live in a sub in the very back , and I really do not want to upset the neighbors so my husband has a " if it crows it has to go " rule. Well he wanted to get me something for mothers day and he waited way to long to order chicks from a hatchery. He got the good idea and found a farm on craigs list that had barred rock chicks. Well I have not had them for a while and I really was not sure that I could remember how to tell girls from boys and I TOLD him so, but he took me any way and proceeded to help me pick chicks out . He knows NOTHING about picking chicks and needless to say I was quite hesitant . So if I end up with a pen full of roo's and not hens , it isn't my fault LOL! But if I do that means that I will have to rehome and I won't be really happy and he knows it ~

so I hope he is prepared !! But here is my little ones and I love them all already!
