I LOVE it! :ya

You are welcome to come on up for the winter and enjoy the beautiful snow here in that case! And you might not enjoy it so much!

You don’t have to slog doing chores in it! Try pushing a wheelbarrow full of horse manure through the snow and up the manure pile. And get water to the horses, or clean of your vehicle twice a day (going to work anc coming home). Or shovelling the driveway every day… granted for more than 2” of snow I get my niece to come over with the truck and snow plow to do the driveway. But that costs money!

Anywhoo my workload is increased by a factor of four in the winter. Is it any wonder I look forward to the horses getting old and keeling over (before I do!).

Ok weather whining tax

Yesterday 🥰 happy chooks

Today it’s grumpy chooks and horses.

Arrrrrrrrr grrrrrrr

Measure twice, cut once :he:mad:

Taking a break, my back is sore and my hips also. Being tired and sore is how accidents happen. Don’t want to fall off a ladder and have the chooks peck my eyes out!
Do take care!

And then the roosters start crowing! :old :barnie
I loved a roo's crowing when there was one in our neighborhood... but multiple crowing roo's at 2 or 3 a.m. ...not sure what that's like? You need to record it like ruralmouse did when all her roo's & cockerels were singing to each other😁

PONY SUNDAY

There are: (just a small example)

1.6 million species of fungi
10,000 species of ants
300,000 species of flowering plants
4,000-5,000 species of mammals
Over 100 billion known galaxies
Over 100 billion stars in each galaxy
Galaxies can contain 10 million to one trillion stars all orbiting a common center of gravity
Most galaxies are several hundred thousand lightyears in diameter
A galaxy itself just to get across it at the speed of light would take several hundred years
The galaxies themselves are usually separated from each other by millions of lightyears
Just to travel between galaxies would take millions of years

Where am I going w/ this? There are 10,000 species of birds w/ an Ostrich as the currently biggest known bird. At that... imagine how small a domestic fowl in our possession is compared to our known universe!

Snow is supposed to double in the next day. Hubby has plowed+snowblowed twice.
I hate it when the Calif downpours occasionally flood everywhere... not sure I could handle snow that keeps dumping every day thicker & thicker, colder & colder ☃️!!!

No, its a soft textured fabric, but it's all beat up and the coating is all peeling off it giving it a mottled blue/white colour - that might be harder for her to see properly, I should trash it but I cannot justify spending a fortune for a new coat just to wear at the barn. My other barn coat finally was beyond repair last year so I trashed it, it lasted a good 20yrs!! but finally was beyond repair. That was a great coat, I looked at getting one like it but it was about $250!!! Not happening - when did things get so expensive?!!

I might go into Value Village (used clothing and housewares - profits go to charities) and see if I can get one this week, I have bought sheets and blankets in the past for the horses - really good sheets that I felt guilty using with the horses! And now the chickens have practically destroyed those sheets hahaha, all covered in chicken poop.
We have a Value Village here in town too. I buy work clothes from there.
