Illinois...

Last year Ottawa location accidentally double ordered ducks.
We can also start a chick watch in this group. I would gladly grab a couple ducks or chicks if I see them rather than anyone paying $25 S&H. I am on ammo hunt so I go to F&F at least 4 times a week.
Why do much ammo? Do you go hunting? Or just enjoy your guns?

Because they only allow you to purchase 2 boxes at a time. For 5.56 a box is sometimes only 20 rounds. I dont shoot near enough but can go through 1000 rounds easily on our camping trips.
And like everyone else my precautions have increased with the recent events so my bare minimum has increased.

Let me know if you find ammo!! I'm headed to IN for it but even they're low.
F&F will have it sporadically but they do not price gouge. I refuse to support places that price gouge. PM what you are looking for and I'll let you know when I see it.
F&F will only allow 2 boxes at a time but its 2 of each whatever it is. Ottawa had 2 boxes of 1k rounds of 5.56 and a guy bought both before they even hit the shelf:mad:

My chickens are in their in-garage winter housing loft. Since it is cold,, I do have the wood stove going. I have my outdoor thermometer sensor inside garage, so I easily look, and know temperature inside garage.

Below is pix of my songbirds munching below the feeder, and also on feeder. . I have a heated dog water bowl filled with water. It is the dark object closest to camera, but well buried in snow. The bowl does keep water from freezing at the coldest temps we have had so far. Yesterday it did drop to -5°F, and water did not freeze. Water is there for birds, cats, squirrels and any other thirsty creature. On all the time. Day and night.

I need to get on that. I want to order ducks because they don't always carry them during Chick Days in the store.
I could always hatch duck eggs for you. At the moment, the chicks are out of the incubator. Both the incubator and hatcher are empty..... and the broody hen is happy.

I have 2 doz eggs on the counter but no reason to set them. If a hen goes broody, I'll be ready. Until then, I keep swapping out the eggs and adding the older ones to the fridge.

Hatching duck eggs would help prevent me from becoming overloaded with my own chicks.

Problem is the duck well not lay right now. She's not likely to lay until the weather turns a but warmer. Maybe March or April.
