Illinois...

These silkies are 8 weeks + 3 days old. Still trying to guess gender. As @homeschoolin momma told me today: I'll probably still be trying to guess gender for a few more months.

PINK This one is much bigger than the other 2. The leader. Stands tall. Has a bigger fluffy tail. Wider comb. A very strong male vibe - even though he's "Pinky"

PURPLE
This one is still the smallest (and my fav) I used to think male, but looks more feminine now.

GREEN Also very small, a follower and goes under siblings for comfort. Has slower feather growth and the comb is narrow - but different. Never saw a silkie comb like it before. Almost like a pea comb. (Hatchery quality, so perhaps it is a pea comb.) I did my best to push the fluff out of the way to see the comb area

How's the baby doing?

She's doing great! Seems to be walking around just fine and eating/drinking/peeping. She can't fly as well as the other 2 but she's a bit smaller so that could be the issue. Millie was trying to teach them to jump down and back up to the coop today and Eowyn can't make it up but she tries hard and can't flap herself high enough yet. The other 2 can. Millie tried over and over to show her and she just couldn't do it but maybe in a week she'll be big enough. Thanks for asking!

Not sure, I was checking for someone who is looking for bantams, which they don't have. Don't worry everyone, they'll be getting more chicks in this week! When I call and keep you posted, but @homeschoolin momma if you happen to run in there let us know what you see.
I was in there April 28th and the shipment had just arrived and wasn't out yet. They had week old blk sex link pullets for a dollar.
