I think it will fall off on its own. I did see peeps crack off the spurs, and the quick is left somewhat soft skinned. I don't have the huevos to do such. If it looks like it dries, and is just hanging by some dead tissue, sure, just clip it of with some wire cutters, or nail clipper.I've heard people say if spurs get too long you can just break them off. Any input on this?
I recall how a couple of my Cochins would loose their toes one at a time. First it would crack,, then dry up, and then crack off.
