Hello, I have an unwell chicken but she seems to be okay in the morning ut then as the day goes on it gets worse her eyes are closed and it sounds like she's "purring" . She's around 1 year old I don't know much about her as we recently rescued her from being dispatched! I have a video but I try to upload it and it's not working!

How does her crop feel as the day goes on, and does it empty overnight? Check it in early AM before she has had any water or food. Crop problems might be a problem.

Her crop stays the same but the nasal discharge is smelly

She has sadly passed away now thanks for your help anyways

I am sorry for your loss. Foul smelling yellowish nasal drainage could be a sign of the respiratory disease coryza. If her crop was full and puffy or impacted, it could be an odor of sour or impacted crop. If it was more of a respiratory disease with her symptoms, I would be a little concerned about it spreading to the other chickens. Here is some reading about coryza:

Thanks but I think it was just her as when we rescued her she was fine and so are all the others including ones who went to my neighbors flock we've had no egg loss or any other of the symptoms so I'm sure they will be fine
