I'm ashamed to admit

Sugar maples will grow in the south. You just won't get the kind of weather needed for the sap flow that is tapped for the rendering of the juice to syrup.

I like your answer better than mine! Of course the trees would grow... !

I've lived in the south for 18 years altogether, in GA for 13. And I've never tried grits. I'm a-scared. lol Hard to type one-handed while my cat sleeps on my other hand.

I don't use much maple syrup. I don't really like things that are that rich and sugary.

I do love tapping maple trees and all the fun process that goes with boiling and refining it into syrup, tho.

Other rich things like mayonnaise, salad dressing, and guacamole taste like pure fat in my mouth. Kinda grosses me out.
Yes, I'm weird.

I have to admit that I live in TX and I don't drive a truck or drink sweet tea (barf). I'd like a truck but it's not in the budget right now.

I do like maple syrup but it's really expensive here. So it's Mrs. Butterworths which is getting pricey as well. We've stepped down to Country Kitchen. It'll do.

Oooh just thought of another one. I live in TX but I don't watch football. SHHHH don't tell on me. lol

I live in New Jersey and I don't really like Jon Bon Jovi or Bruce Springsteen....

Mmmm. We love grits. My DH had never had grits until he met me. Now they all love their steamy bowl of hot, creamy grits.
