I'm bout fed up with ebay buyers!! Update... It just gets better!

Hi Reb'! Sorry you got a 'bad egg' as a buyer. I've never sold eggs anywhere else but from here and kind of glad I never branched out to ebay.

That's a good habit. I'm surprised all egg-sellers don't candle eggs before they send them out.

Oh yikes. I am just now getting my Brower fired up to hatch some Call Duck eggs. I wonder why it is so hard on eggs? I mean they are just eggs till the heat comes.Right? I have had these eggs for a week. Darn it! My timing is bad. Cuz I have hatched eggs here from my chickens that were older than that. And when a chicken is collecting a clutch of eggs to hatch they can be around two weeks while she gathers enough to consider sitting on them. Oh well, I will try.

Rebel,

To block someone on ebay, go to the "Site Map" page. In the middle column you will see "block buyers" or something to that effect. Go in there and do your thing! You can also cancel bids from your individual auction pages. Good luck with buyers in the future, and don't let the jerks get you down!

Oh !! And if my eggs don't work our, I promise I will NOT be blaming the seller on eBay. Only my own foolishness to not get them started sooner. AND I won't be counting my chickens before they hatch... Or my chickens before they lay...

You would think that would happen but the best shipment of eggs that I have ever gotten through the mail was double boxed at my request. I received two shipments from the seller. Same number of eggs from the same parents, packed in the same sized box with the same packaging. The first shipment I got ALL had ruptured air cells. A single deformed chick hatched out of the bunch. The second shipment was packaged in the smaller box inside a larger one. The eggs arrived in perfect condition. I got 100% hatch rate.

Oh boy I have to weigh in on this one. I am a seller and buyer on ebay. Not of eggs but many other things. I have been on ebay since 1999. In that time I have only had a few bad experiences with sellers I have bought from. I had a few burn me on shipping in the beginning days of ebay. That taught me to always get the shipping charges up front. I had a few items that were not quiet as described. I have only filed 3 paypal disputes against sellers. 1 of which was a misunderstanding but ebay suggested that I carry through with it to be on the safe side. The other 2 should have had to pay me extra back for wasting my time, they were scum. In the end I get some great deals on purchases and it makes it worth while in the long run.

Just to note I am not perfect and I have made a few mistakes on items I have sold but I have always refunded people for anything thats my fault. In ten years on ebay I have only received 1 neg. It was my fault in a way, I sold something that was fully functional but had been repaired and I didn't notice. The buyer never contacted me at all or I would have given them a full refund.

Now as for people buying from me. I have had much much more problems with buyers by far. Only about 1/2 to 3/4 will even leave feedback. I have had many people bid and not pay, a non paying bidder warning is a joke. I have had people lie about the condition they received there item in. I have had people try to return their used items to me and swear it was the item I sent to them, even though I marked mine before I sent it. I could go on and on with the horror stories but I will just tell you of the best one. LOL !!

I had a guy by a pair of new $7 sunglasses with free shipping back on 12/07/09. 1 month later the guy emails me and ask if I have anymore of the blinders that fit on the side (fishing sunglasses). I told him no, that his should snap back into place. He said he lost it somewhere and didn't have it and wanted me to send him a new one. I told him it wasn't possible because I didn't have any. He then gets very angry and threatens neg feedback and all sorts of nasty comments. I told him to send the glasses back and I would refund him. Over the next month I get several emails telling me he's going to get them in the mail. Finally, I quit hearing from him,... I thought. This dummy emailed me just a week ago at the end of june and said the box with the sunglasses had fallen behind the seat of his truck and he just found it and he was going to send me the glasses back. Can you believe all this over a $7 dollar pair of sunglasses.

I've thought about selling eggs on ebay but have pretty much decided against.

Can i just ask what a Ruptured air cell is and how do you see it?????????????

A good egg has a round air cell near or at the large end of the egg. If you candle the egg and the cell is broken into parts or looks like a lot of bubbles it is ruptured.

I know its been a little bit since the last posting but I just wanted to post about this because Rebel Rooster and one of my favorite ebayers have unfairly been given negatives and it has made me so mad. The ebayer that I have used for 2 years and had great hatches just quit selling because of this and after reading what dumb people have wrote it really made me mad. She sends out lots of eggs and relist an auction as soon as one ends like lots of ebayers do for eggs-someone actually gave her a negative feedback saying that she relisted the item right after they won it before they even paid for it or got it shipped to them to see that everything was fine, mind you this person only had a "4" next to their name-guess they didnt even read anything about shipping etc or know anything about it. I will say that all the people that I bought eggs from this year that are also BYCers have had the best eggs, packing and I had such great hatching rates that it thrilled me when one after another kept hatching. I got some terrible eggs last year that were dirty, porous and packed terrible-still I just marked to myself not to buy from -------- on my sellers list, so I go back to the people I know or who I found on here. I cant believe ebay is holding your money either-I know when I use to sell my extra plants I needed that money so I could ship the plants, so how do they expect things to arrive in a timely matter if they are doing this to sellers-there are far too many disabled, retired and homesteaders that dont have extra money laying in their bank accounts to expect them to cough up the money for packing materials, driving to the post office and shipping cost etc to expect them of this. I was wondering why the last time I got something from an ebayer I had the item at my house before the money was even taken out of my account-thought it was really weird but now I know. Wow all the more reason to buy and sell on here with all you great people-I would never expect to get something before I paid for it from any of you.
