I'm cursed with broodies! ARGH!

I wish I had a broody!! I actually want 2 broodies! one for some call duck eggs and another for a few turkey eggs!!!

7/10 is good odds, its supposed to be 50% male and female, you came out (SLIGHTLY) ahead in that deal.

Well I built a "broody breaker box" yesterday and as much as it breaks my heart to put my cochin pullet in there, it had to be done!

I want her out and about with the flock and not sitting on an empty nest for weeks, getting thin and antisocial.

Plus I want her eggs, LOL!

I just hatched TWO batches of babies and plan to incubate another one in a week so broody services are not required at the moment.

I think it's the kindest thing to do... set her hormones back on track.

I hope it works!!!

Was scheduled to take pics yesterday after work but when I returned home from work, I noticed 1 of my EE'ers had gone broody, so the rest of my evening was trying to find a comfy, cozy to put her.

I only have room for 8 and I was already at a record high of 9 broodies. Now I have 10!
