I'm hoping I'm not the only person here who sniffs their poultry...

I don't intend to sniff my chickens, but they like to cuddle with me in the evenings before they go to roost. Lilly, the cuddliest of them is always on my upper chest, under my chin. She snuggles her neck against my neck and its really sweet. Sometimes, she puts her head in front of my nose and breathes out... Its always warm and doesn't really smell like anything, but I think it is so cute. My roo sits on the top of the chair and whistles in my ear. He likes to snuggle his neck next to my neck, too and sometimes his 'whistle' is in front of my nose. Same for him; really warm but not really a smell...

Psssst.... I also like to sniff my amazon parrot, sun conure and my cockatiels. Not my turtle though, he smells....like a turtle! Seriously-all my pet birds are attracted to my nose which is nothing but a glorified beak.

Hmm (scratching head) . . . add to list of "things to do": smell chickens.

I smell my cats and dogs frequently - and my goats (they're neutered, not stinky), and I do enjoy a good snuffle from a llama (they like to smell my mouth/nose as a greeting) but I confess I haven't smelled my chickens yet.

Now the next question . . . do different chicken breeds smell differently?

I love smelling my duck Chuckie! He smells like the fresh outdoors and he loves to be held like a baby and cuddle-
I have a few birds I will smell My WC black polish girl "Judge Judy"
"Mc" mini chicken-black bantam girl

thats it though the rest wouldnt tolerate it! haha
