I'm thinking Alice is a He with those tail feathers. What do you think? He/She is a Silver laced wyandotte. Just shy of 4 months. First time keeping chickens and our 9 other hens don't look like this. We can't keep roosters.
I'm not seeing much on the tail feathers, but the lacing does look to get finer in the saddle area although feathers look rounded from what I can tell. A picture of the head would help if possible!
I have an Orp who has long tail feathers like that, and SHE lays every day and is a great mama! I agree with @LRH97 . A pic of Alice's head would help.
You'll know for sure once you hear crowing - haha! You should hear it soon if she is a he. 4 months old is when you can expect it.
The lacing says pullet. She's in partial molt, making one or two of her tail feathers stand out and appear longer than the rest. But she's still an Alice.
What is the female specific color pattern, if you have the time, and don't mind sharing? I'm new to chickens since May and am trying to learn all I can. I have two SLWs in my little flock that look similar.
