Wow you are absolutely amazingHuh, #2 is quite interesting then. She looks a bit courser boned then I'd expect from a White Leghorn but that's all that matches well with what Hoover's carries. They also have White Jersey Giants but all that I've seen on this forum have willow legs... Was her chick down pure white/yellow or more greyish? Definitely update if there's any change in color! Black flecks all around would mean she's a California White! I do still think she's an Isabella Leghorn then for #5! You have such a good mix of girls! You'll have many different egg colors and looks!! I've had chickens for about a decade. On this forum I've sent over 10k messages and most of them were helping others determine breeds/genders of their birds! With most threads containing multiple birds, some with even 20 individuals, I'd have to think on the low end I've help determine breeds and genders of 10-15k birds on this forum (my estimate could be off though!) Reading through replies on this forum is how I learned the most though! It's very helpful to read a post, make a guess in your head and check what others are saying after. It's a fun game and once you start to understand it and are mostly accurate, you can start replying! A good book for learning breeds would be Storey's Illustrated Guide to Poultry Breeds. Hatchery websites can also be quite helpful for a quick refresher. Best of luck with your flock!! Update as they age!
