This 5 week old (not sure breed it has feathers on its feet) when I let them out to explore my living room (it's tile) he always runs out the crate And then runs at the other 3 that jup out after. Also I put some socks on and home boy(I'm assuming) ran at my feet lol. Is this all chicken behavior or normally roos?

It looks like a male to me. Red in the comb at 5 weeks is a sure sign. A female should have no red color in the comb until laying age.

This one just in the past week has really started to change in ita looks doesn't even look like the same bird. I've read that the orange red color on the back can indicate male. This is also one of the adventurous ones like the black one

Rural king straight run bin I keep hearing how most people who pick from the straight run bin end up with mostly roosters if not all roosters. Edit: I bought 8 total

Do you know if they get them from Hoovers? I only ask because one of their designer mixes, the Mystic Onyx, has a disturbingly fast growth rate. The hens included, both times I have gotten them, I have been convinced some were male, if not male rangers (a meat bird), only to turn into female onyxes. They're silkie mixes, so a small number have feathering on their legs
