One of my eggs that was moving pipped yesterday pm, was really pleased and then i saw it start its zip so i left it, for some reason my humidity plummeted (probably me opening the bator too much even though everyone said not to

) but when i helped it about ten mins ago the menbrane around the pip had dried out and the chick was dead

i'm so gutted, WHY didn't i help it last night and WHY didnt i leave the flippin thing alone???

Dont think the other 4 are doing anything so heres hoping for next weeks batch but until then i'll have to find my lonely chick something to snuggle up to in its brooder.

It's hard to do. Once you open the bator you have to watch like a hawk for things drying out. Good luck with the rest. Keep it closed and hope for the best is all you can do now. Give them till at least day 24 to make it. They just might be slow.
