I'm scared

We had a discussion. He has his hobbies (guns and motorcycles), I have mine (chickens). Also, because I lost three hens due to the heat, he knows I'm heartsick and wants to make me feel better.

I think it boils down to him being a good husband.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't want to push my luck right now. Maybe after I get that third coop.

So... how much is his new bike?
~Saddi, who gets 1k a year to spend on herself, and mr saddi gets the same.

I don't think he wants another bike right now. He doesn't get to ride the one he has much as it is. Perhaps this is his way of thanking me because I didn't raise holy heck about the $2,000 rifle?

Yeppers, that sounds right.

I understand Gritty. My DH doesn't care how many chickens I have. He's got a peeve with the heat lamp though, he wants them all raised under broodies ala the natural method. So when I was incubator hatching, I hatched almost every broody breed I could.

(that'll fix him) I say almost, cuz I don't do bantams (hawk food here) and I don't do silkies. (not convinced they are actually chickens)

Besides, when he brings up the cost of my "hobby" (chickens), I bring up the cost of his hobby and it's an automatic win for me.

I don't even have to bring up the costs of hobbies with my wife. She is smart enough to know it is best for her to not bring up that topic or give me a reason to.

From what you've said about Keith in the past, I think he's just feeling sorry for you from losing those in the heat. He is a decent guy.
