I'm so old I Remember when:

I remember. Y mom had savings bonds. They still have a couple of different types out there, just don't hear about them like we used to.

I can remember when our small town had flocks of chickens all over town. Only the wealthy didn't bother to raise their own chickens for both meat and eggs. Times were still somewhat hard and the Great Depression had not officially ended. Crowing roosters was a way of life and no one complained out loud anyway. Now that small town has banned them after hiring someone from a big city to be city manager and a code enforcement officer that hates chickens and cats. The little town had a beautiful flock that was scattered all over town of wild Key West type chickens that hatched clutches all over town. She went on a mission to kill them all and finally slipped up and made a mistake that cost her the job.
