I'm so old I Remember when:

Those of us who lived in rural areas rode the bus to and from school daily.
Rode the bus everyday in elementary school. My bus ride in the afternoon was 2 1/2 hours long, no joke. We were the first ones on and the last ones off. Didn't get home until after 5:00 every evening

Do you guys remember getting gifts from the gas station? I'm remembering "grog" mugs.

Look what I found on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1207301740/milk-glass-grog-mugs-set-of-6-vintage?ref=share_v4_lx

And gifts inside boxes of laundry detergent? Dish towels, and such...
I can't remember if it was McDonald's or Burger King but one of them gave out drinking glasses with cartoon characters like Tom and Jerry and Casper and Wendy on them sometime in the late 60's or early 70's. Nice heavy glass , they came in two different sizes, and I've still got about a dozen or so around here.

Followed by (preceded by?) Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Sunday night was also bath night. Mom and Dad were very fair in making sure my brother, sister, and I rotated who went first and who got the colder, dirtier water. But boy did we bathe fast so we didn't miss those two shows.
Speaking of Omaha…

I still remember Rosenblatt Stadium and the Omaha Royals baseball team.
