I miss phones costing less then $20 and lasting forever

I had the enjoyment of cancelling my mums cell phone and tell off Bell Mobility. Next is cancelling my cellphone and my internet with them. Then my satellite TV….

Now I have StarLink so don’t need that internet or satellite tv

While I miss the ‘good old days’ I do love the great technology this day and age.

I am so old I remember having to use the antenna on the TV to tune in my shows, now my StarLink dish tilts and twirls on its own to find a signal

I still had a rabbit ear antenna until a couple years ago when we had to switch to a HD antenna.
This one was HD but I upgraded for one with a better range.
All it got me that I didn't already have was like 3 more PBS channels, a cooking channel and some Spanish channel.

My dad was always into the latest gadgets. We had a reel-to-reel tape recorder!

I later dismantled it for the vacuum tubes... >.>
