I knew Brussel sprouts was good for something

When I was little (maybe 7) my best friend ran away from the care of her grandmother (her parents were away for a week I believe) and showed up on our doorstep and announced she was coming to live with us.
My mother eventually managed to get her to explain what the issue was with staying with her grandmother.
Turned out it was all about Brussel sprouts.
Apparently her grandmother wasn’t a great cook and made her eat mushy Brussel sprouts!

I Remember going to A&W Root Beer drive inns in the mid 60's for a burger, fry, and root beer in a frosted mug for under a Buck Fifty. Yesterday two burgers, two medium drinks, and one medium fry cost us over $35 at those 5 guys place. Hadn't been to one in a decade so we decided to try it. If I make it another decade I'm opting for a meat market steak grilled at home.

Yeah, I took my daughter sometime in the last two years with a similar cost. They can keep their burgers. Cheaper to buy premade patties! And those aren't that cheap.

Haven’t been to a fast food joint nor had a soda in about 15 years or so. In fact, the smell of a fast food joint stinks to me. A good 85- 90% of our meals are made at home from scratch and I don’t miss the fast food or soda at all. So my weight stays about the same BUT I must say I’m ROCKIN’ a Dad bode.

They still make that you know - along with the chocolate one and I think maybe lemon. I cannot guarantee the recipe hasn't changed but it is still square, it's still in the refrigerated section of the grocery, and it does say "classic" right there in the box. That's a sign, right?
