I'm so old I Remember when:

You must be an old sole then!
My Mom bought it from a school supply store. It was not great paper. Hard to erase on because it'd tear.

She also bought stencils to try and fix my lovely handwriting. I don't recall them working as intended though, since Nobby Gibberish and Nobby Somewhat Readable are the two main fonts I use for writing.

I remember when fast food jobs, pouring coffee etc. we're done by high-school and college kids for gas, pizza and beer money. Those jobs were not considered careers.
We would love to hire teens or college students to do small tasks around our property. There just don't seem to be any who do that kind of stuff anymore.

When I was in college we were always on the lookout for small jobs that paid cash. In fact there was an office on campus that handled that. They took calls from the community and posted jobs on 3x5 cards on a bulletin board. You just walked up, picked a card, did the job and voilà! Pocket money for the weekend.

There were all kinds of jobs: manual labor, babysitting, tutoring, housesitting, transcription, elder care, almost anything. Once I modeled outfits from a country club pro shop at a poolside fashion show with several other girls. That was fun!

There's still a fair chance you'll find at least one who's willing to do those tasks. I suppose the problem is actually finding out where they exist.

I did lots of fun jobs during summers at high school.
Highlights remember were a construction job where I was part of the crew painting the inside of a library. We took our lunch breaks sitting outside on the sidewalk to get away from the smell of paint. The headmistress of my school walked by and gave me a lecture about how sitting on the sidewalk wasn’t ladylike!
Then I was a PBX operator and got fired for listening in to the phone conversations!
And believe it or not at 15 or maybe 16 I was responsible for cash payroll at a small college. Even I can’t quite believe how crazy this was. I went on my bicycle to the bank every Thursday morning and they handed over a sack of cash. I cycled back with it and set up a table in the hall with the list of who was to be paid what. Then everyone lined up at my table and I handed over the cash. I was given a rubber finger stall to help me count bank notes easier/faster. I have no idea what would have happened if I had made a mistake!
