Does your mama hen have a namesake? Sounds like it might be a nod to Doctor Who. Which is funny if it is because I have an Amy (aka amelia pond) with some babies in the coop right now who is a straight doppleganger for ms. Sarah jane.

Sometimes, after a hen had relocated with the active hatched chicks, I've stuffed eggs back under her without much defiance. Shell be sitting on them for another week regularly till she starts to get up n move more.

I've had eggs go overnight at day 16 in 60 degrees. 3/9 lived. Low ratio but I was surprised even 3 made it to hatch.

Stuff the egg back under mom. Easiest in darkness. Shell guarantee sit on it till morning.
