Impacted crop*picture*

you just sprinkle it on their food. but my disclaimer here I have never personally used it before now. It was suggested to me by someone who has had chickens for a lot of years and has seen good results with it.
I opted to use it as a last-ditch effort my other option was to tube the chicken but after what happened with my hen I don't think I will be doing anything like that again in the future.

She's recovering from pneumonia probably caused by crop content. Does she look like she needs a crop bra?

My rooster had liquid come out of his mouth this morning but he seems better so I'm hoping somebody will have some insight and how to save him since it's probably the same issue.
What I found when I opened her up was big chunks of shavings undigested food and a little bit of hay scrap.

Also I took away the grit thinking the babies would choke on it I think this was also a big problem.

I bought some lmf 911 to put on their food and small and large grit hoping that no one else is going to have a problem.
I gave my rooster about a half a piece of bread with some lmf 911 soaked in water and he ate it.

My rooster is doing much better and ate a little bit and I don't see where his crop is bulging it all now so hopefully he will be fine.
How is your rooster?
I may have missed it, but how old is he?

I would monitor his crop for several days to make sure it's empty in the mornings.
Provide the grit free choice.
If he's still having problems, it would be a good idea to read both articles linked below to see what else you can do to help him.
See that he's eating his normal food and drinking well.

Is her crop empty in the mornings? If it's not emptying you need to try to treat the crop so it's emptying. Often times there is an underlying condition and crop problems are the result of that. Worms, coccidiosis, reproductive disorders, blockage and infection are some common causes of crop dysfunction. Read the articles above to see treatment options for the different types of crop problems.

It doesn't totally empty by morning, fecal shows she's clear of parasites. No sour smell, I'll read up more and try to figure out what's going on. Thank you

Well my rooster is still with us yesterday I gave him some egg and he ate a little bit he's eating a little bit more he is still really weak he managed to bust out of the door while I was feeding him and into the run with the other chickens. He seemed happier when he was out, eating more out so I let him stay. He is still too weak to get up on the roost so I put him in the cage at night so I can feed him away from the flock in the morning.
This morning he had a normal-looking poop! He looks better but he's still really weak.I fed him eggs and the 911 again he ate a little bit and then I let him go out in the run, he definitely drinks more water and eats more being out with the other chickens I just put him in with the hens and babies so that nobody picks on him. it's kind of scary because he just lays there with his face down but he is resting and he is stronger than he was yesterday.
His crop is totally empty at night no bulges no more leakage. He is two years old.
I'm sure that he probably ate some shavings too and that was his problem. I'm just hoping they're working their way out:fl
Thank you for you help and advice

I didn't feel it was condescending or mean. I knew I should not have taken away the grit I was just so worried about the babies for obviously no reason. It's my fault I owned it learning experience
I made him some eggs yesterday and he really liked it hopefully it will get him back on track

What do you normally feed him?
If you can post some photos of him and the poop that would be great.

The crop should be full at night and empty in the mornings - so see if you can encourage him to eat before time to go in for the night.
Egg is good to give along with his normal feed.

Laying face down is not good at all. I would give him some poultry vitamins - Poultry Cell would be good.

Okay it looks like he's not doing the face down laying today it looks like he's just laying down normally. He is still weak and still has Wing droop though.
I give him Purina starter grower because we have the babies.
Pictures of bright green poop or yesterday and the firmer poops are from last night
A very gently felt his crop and it actually feels a little like there's something in it. He was not very excited to have me touch him and he ran away pretty quick he seems more steady on his feet today

I would check the crop again in the morning to see if it's empty like it should be.
Try to encourage him to eat and drink. Bits of egg or tuna in the feed is sometimes enticing. I would still give him a direct dose of poultry vitamins for a couple of days too.
While you are checking him, look him over really well for lice/mites too.

If he doesn't improve, it would be a good idea to get a fecal float to rule out worms or Coccidiosis overload. The green poop could be from not eating well, but it's nor normal looking to me.

so last night I gave him some egg and he actually got up on the roost with the other chickens but I put him back in the cage to rest. He had a full but normal feeling crop.
This morning he looks back to normal he was so amped to get out of the cage I forgot to check his crop but he was hungry. He isn't laying down, he came out and started eating and mating with his ladies :celebrate
His poo is a more normal color . He is standing upright with no wing droop. Hopefully this means he's on the mend.I am still going to give him eggs and vitamins for awhile. I have been giving him lmf digestion 911 on his food but I ordered some poultry cell it will be here tomorrow.
Thank you everyone for your help
