We did coconut oil again this morning and another massage. She still had stuff in her crop this morning but after the massage it felt flat. Couldn’t feel anything inside. She ate more yesterday than she has been. She spent most of the day outside running around, dust bathing and hanging out with her pals. She really looked happy.

I'd just keep checking it. Continuing with the coconut oil won't hurt.
Crop issues can sometimes seem to take forever to resolve.

That’s comforting. It makes me feel a ton better just with her behavior returning to normal.

This morning her crop is the smallest that it has been yet. Barley anything in it. We did the coconut oil and massages. Behavior wise she is back 100% to her old self. She’s still not eating all that much but hopefully in the next couple days that will pick up.

This morning was another round of coconut oil and massages. He crop was a little bigger than a marble this morning.

We did return her back to her flock a couple days ago. She acts like her self out there. She doesn’t eat much just pretty much picks. She will eat a little bit of wetted food if I give it to her. She will tear up a cucumber. And if she sees a big she wants it. She pecks around and scratches. I’ve started to weigh her (which I should of done from the beginning) and she’s not losing weight (since I’ve started weighing).

I’m a little over a week and a half into this. She doesn’t seem uncomfortable at all and overall appears happy, she runs around, scratches, jumps on the perch, is very chirpy. How long does it usually take to clear? Is there anything else I can try? I’m really starting to get discouraged. I’m happy she’s more like herself but I’m still worried Bc her crop doesn’t appear to fully empty. When I massage the crop it goes flat and feels like everything empties at that point. I’m just at a loss .

I'm not sure why its not emptying completely. I do have a 7yo rooster who's crop does not empty all the way when I check it in the morning, I don't know why, it could be old age. He does not act lethargic at all and is completely normal, he is going through a little molt now. A couple weeks ago I was holding him and his crop was full and I accidently pushed stuff up and he aspirated, I thought he was going to die, he was making a bunch of weird noises and had labored breathing. He got better and I started treating him for sour crop, his crop would almost never empty it would be small though, I was using the same treatment as you. I stopped treating him for it because I didn't think he had sour crop, his breath never smelled. His crop never empties fully when I check him in the morning but he's not acting sick so I'm not to worried about it. Its strange, I would think this would eventually lead to sour crop, right? If someone could shed some light on that I would appreciate it.
