IMPATIENT for my chicks to arrive! Anyone else?

I've got chick fever bad here!

I've got 10 blue wheaten OEGB's coming from Ideal this week. They should hatch on the 16th, so they'll probably be here Friday. Last year, my bantam order hatched and shipped a day early, so I'm crossing my fingers

for that to happen again, and I'm hoping they include a bunch of packing peanuts too. The waiting is horrible!

So I'm spending my waiting time looking at the hatching egg auctions on here and going crazy. There are SO many auctions that I want to win, and so many gorgeous birds out there that I'm dying to have. And then I go to all the hatchery websites and fill my shopping cart with chick orders, then make myself close the window before I hit submit. It's totally ridiculous. I managed to go into the chick room at our feedstore this week and walk out without babies. I am truly getting tougher. But I'm getting SO impatient for my babies to get here! My daughter and I can't wait to get our hands on those teeny tiny OEGB babies...

mine are do next week!!
Gonna start up the brooder monday to run over night a couple nights and make sure my temp is good. I just finished a hover brooder so they are gonna brood outside

Not yet, they are shipping the 23rd (accidentally said they were arriving the 23rd before, oops). I am very excited, just a few more days left. It's killing me!

Ours (25 australorps) are due to arrive March 7-8th, which can't come soon enough, both for us and our 1 lone chick that came from our hatching experiment!

Me to, waiting is killing me. Getting ours from Meyer they are really close to me...first week in April still have a bit to wait, but I have this LG incubator and its EMPTY hmmmmm...
