I had a gigantic one in my front yard that I cut down and it took three years to kill the stump, even after we stripped the bark around it, poured roundup all over the stump, hacked the roots... we finally had to just dig out the stump, cut the roots with a chainsaw, pull the trunk with a pickup truck and long chains. Then the roots tried to sprout up through the lawn. Just, wherever you plant it, make sure you REALLY WANT a mulberry tree there, I mean REALLY! The berries were good though, and the shade in the summer was fantastic. It threw off a semi truckload of leaves every winter and required yearly cutting back to the main branches. It is amazing the amount of growth they can put out in a single season. Maybe you can grind up the leaves, mix it up with your chicken poop and sell deluxe garden mulch... just saying... always gotta have a gimmick!
