How are you going to avoid beards when you plan on using easter eggers for green egg color?

Not all Easter egged have beards.

I will use beardless offspring only, & use those who only carry the blue egg genes.
If any beards are produced, they'll be culled, until no more beards appear, or it's only 1% of the offspring.

True, but most if not all easter eggers have their ancestry traced backed to americanas which do have beards, so it's going to have to be one really special easter egger.

It doesn't help with the combs, but perhaps Ayam cemani would help size wise and meat color. Their skin somehow is pretty dominant breeding so almost all their chicks should have dark if not black skin

Cackle is selling them straight run for 49 bucks next spring and there are some good sellers on eBay that want 70 for a dozen eggs.

$2000 per bird, that's a rip off. One of the local feed stores in my area was selling them for way cheaper (I suspect only a few dollars per pullet).

Ameraucanas = Actual Breed

Americana = Easter Egger.

Some have their ancestry traced back to Araucanas too, or a combination of both.

Find a few bucks a pullet is wrong, odds are they're mixed breeds then.

Butnow that a lot of people have started breeding, they're far less now. Even greenfire is asking way less than that per st. Run chick

I'll have to ask the owner what he charges for them. They were a big time seller for him this spring so I suspect he will carry them again. He orders from a hatchery he claims is one of the best but won't say which for obvious reasons.
