I'm waiting for the March sales of chickens to begin. We have 3 different suppliers that sell young chicks and pullets for early spring. I am so anxious this year! We have a secure coop, I want to get at least one orpinton hen. Maybe a Brahma if I find one. Even an EE would be fine. Or a Dominique, or Marans, or RIR. I'm hoping tp find a selection. Have never seen advertisements, so Please wish me luck![IMG]

Wishing you luck! There is a great feed store here in Sacramento that has a very good supplier for chicks. Never been dissapointed and they are well kept and such. That's where I go if nobody I know has the breeds I want.

    The feed store carries:

    Light Brahma
    Silver Laced Wyandotte
    Gold Laced Wyandotte
    Barred Rock
    White Rock
    Black Sex Link
    Red Sex Link
    Production Reds

And a LOT of bantams and special breeds. [IMG]
