As the others said, it varies. Some hatches seem really quick, there's no visible/audible action going on, you come back an hour later and there's babies everywhere. Some are slow and take longer than a day. The best hatch I had I was away from the house at an obligation for a few hours and came back and almost all the viable eggs had hatched.

Yeah I gotta sleep, I’m sure the bugger will hatch as soon as I do lol. Still no changes, I can still see the beak moving in the pip hole though.
