I am so sorry to hear about that.
I tried to post on her yesterday afternoon, and the website was temporarily down for maintenance or something. Around 3:30pmish yesterday we finally had some zipping from 3 of them. My really early pipper, one from the day before, and one from yesterday. All 3 of them hatched before I had to go to work last night (7pm-7am)!!! My husband and kids and I all got to watch the first two hatching....it was the coolest thing ever.
#4 my husband discovered around 5am, #5 around 6:30.
I did not want to go to work, but would have probably been hovering over the incubator all night awake had I been home anyway. I am supposed to be sleeping, now, but I just had to get up to check on them. One is in the zipping process at the moment, but taking a little break (he should be the next one out). One has a good sized pip and was just moving a little bit. We still have one egg that doesn't seem to have even externally pipped, yet. Not sure if that one is just a late bloomer or if it's not going to make it.
I have to sit on my hands, because I want to take the babies out so bad. They were just all sleeping in a little pile...cutest thing ever.
Plus, they are occasionally trying to peck or stretch up to the bar that produces the heat!!! I don't want them to get burnt, but they have been okay so far. They have tapped it a few times. I can leave them in there up to 24 hours, right??
The waiting is the hardest part...I am so happy and relieved that they are all just pipping and zipping away on their own.
