incubating eggs

you should see them!! I will video when they are dry!! they are so fast and they tuble all around the place and pop backup like notthing happened!! so cute and TINY!!

I am getting my little giant still-air incubator ready to put my eggs in that are ready to hatch in 3 days. Right now they are in my bator with other eggs that won't be ready for another week. I made a cozy out of a towel and velcro to help stabilize
the temp & humidity. I was careful not to cover any of the air holes. Hopefully, this will help!

Wow, its very different from the rest! I was expecting it to have a slight blue cast, but in the pic it almost looks lavender! I honestly don't know, guess you'll have to wait and see how it feathers out. Will you update as it gets feathers? I'm curious to see if it ends up being white!!!

I just finished making my homemade incubator, and am excited to get started on my first batch. I have a broody hen, right now, so I ordered 6 hatching eggs, which will be here tomorrow, and I'm going to put those under the broody chicken. But, I would also like to start hatching some of my own, via incubator, so I ordered another set which will be here next week.

I'm not going to use an egg turner for this first batch, to help save costs, but after reading some info on the web, I'm confused about how the eggs should be placed in the incubator. I assumed I'd mark them and then put them on their sides, but I keep reading about an angle?

Can someone who's done this before please walk me through it?

Thanks,
Beth
