Incubating quail eggs

Ok at least I know the breed now how do I sex them or do they sex themselves at a certain point
There are several color varieties of Coturnix, and some you can sex by chest feather colors while others need to be vent sexed or wait till they crow. It seems like you have several that are “wild type” which ARE feather sexable. Once they’re about 4-5 weeks old the males will have less spots on their chest feathers and the males will have more solid coloring. I am no expert, as I just started raising them myself in April.

Some others that are far more knowledgeable could help you more! @Nabiki @FloorCandy @Kiki :)

See I knew youd know more than I do haha!
I’m not sure, but the beaks look off, the feathers on the head are a bit uprightish, and they have one dark stripe on the head, wild type cots have a V of dark stripes.

Also 4 week old cots should be mostly feathered, I believe bobs are a bit slower.

Bobwwhites do not have that spikey feather look.Plus at 4 weeks bobs are still very small.Cots grow way faster
