It's an infection of the umbilical area or the yolk sack. Not really treatable per se, it usually starts before or right after hatching.

I think it's umbilical area will be swollen and gross looking, also the chick wiLL be lethargic and maybe not want to eat or drink. Let me try and figure out how to copy the link on it from BYC articles.
