i guess you would call it a staggering hatch but there was about a week that went by that we didn't get any eggs because they were shedding feathers. The next batch was put in on the 9th. But we will keep this baby well occupied with some from our family that just hatched some a few days ago.

#1 rule- When working with electricity, HAVE IT OFF. Even if the wire is white, cause the people before you could have wired it wrong.

The only old electricians are wise electricians- Be an old electrician.

I've unscrewed enough outlet covers to change them out without turning off the electric.

I've handled plenty hot but I prefer to have the power off if at all possible.

Flipping the breaker (if you have breakers) is easy and could save you from pain, injury, or possibly death.

Then after flipping the breaker or removing the fuse, verify if that circuit is in fact, dead.
