Sadly there is already so much misinformation out there that my opinion is very unlikely to matter to people like the chicken chick, or Gail Damerow, author of the Chicken Health Hand Book, which also has lost of worming misinformation.

I think you should write a book that has the correct worming information.

Piperazine
There is one study looking at piperazine residues in the eggs of treated hens. Piperazine is approved for use in laying hens in Australia and Canada at doses ranging from 130 to 200mg/kg/body weight one time and a zero day egg and meat withdrawal. In the US, since there is no tolerance, this withdrawal needs to be extended.

Meaning it would stay in the eggs longer?

Lol, it would say "have a vet do a fecal and prescribe a treatment". So much to consider... type of worm(s), ability of owner to weigh bird and do math, withdrawal times, etc... There is no easy answer.

You should write an e-book for chicken owners, explaining all of this and putting all the resources into one place, with up to date information.

A lot of stuff if you google it, appears to be wrong.

Do you offer a cliff notes version of this book?

Exactly! Australia and Canada don't have an issue with it, so maybe we shouldn't either?

-Kathy
Sounds like we shouldn't. Do you know where the EU stands on this?
