YAY!!!!! is the towel wet? if you have the air cells up as below you should be ok

air cells do shift! yep just before pipping is called drawdown, this is when they tuck and pip into the air cell, sometimes you can see in the high part inside the back they pop up inside as well! good sign!!!

mark the time!! and wait!!

dont open the bator!!! keep humdiity up!

Candle day 18 is to determine growth, weigh, pencil mark air cell size and dispose bad eggs. It will look pretty dark and FULL in there! You may or may not see movement on this candle. Its ok if not, don’t panic! The chick may easily be resting! See how that air cell is beginning to dip more to one side and if you lay the egg down it will roll into the hatching position. I set my eggs with lowest dip in the aircell up. This position for hatching is good so the chick is able to turn into position and I can easily see my pips too! Day 18 laying horizontal for actual hatching helps a chick hatch 1-2 hours earlier. I lay my eggs down LOWEST DIP of the AIRCELL UP! This is the normal and most likely hatching position and the chick will break through or Internally pip and externally pip in that probable area. See the image below with the x, x being lowest dip in air cell and probably pip area/s.

Serama, Day 19 Draw down, very close internal pipping, you can see in these candles as I turn the egg the draw down in front where the pip will be and the bump up in the back!

another Serama Day 19 drawn down and very close to internal pip if its not already pipped

VIDEO : Early day 19 INTERNAL PIP
(shipped initially loose air cell, set after 12 hours and turned upright in the cabinet cooler incubator right from set)
Silky embryo in position for hatch and with internal pip (NOTE: NO EXTERNAL YET!)

Good morning from chilly Ohio! Thanks for sharing these links. This one in particular is a great reference. Not only described problems but gives a breakdown of day by day development. Very helpful, thanks!

Hey, we're only a couple of hours away from each other!
Sounds like I'm a little older than you though. I was just out of high school when "say you say me" came out.

Does, engine have hatching eggs for sale

Not me! Try ebay
Anyone have clues as to why DIS occurs? This batch has been a complete mess. Of the 12 silkie eggs I bought, nine - yes NINE - were clear. Not happy.  Three days ago all the chicks were moving, they were in lockdown. Today is Day 21 and nothing - not a pip or a squeak.

I've just very quickly grabbed each egg and checked for internal pipping - nothing. And, worryingly, there's no movement in any of them either. :(  I'm hatching upright in egg cartons - something I've always done and never had an issue with. I've very carefully monitored air cell development this time too, and i'm pretty much where the pictures say I should be. I have a bad feeling about this.....
be patient and stop opening your incubator! Its called "lockdown" for a reason!

if it makes you feel any better, my first hatch and the lone egg I finished for my neighbors hatch, I did not see any internal pips and had hatching on day 21, 22, &23! So just be patient and go hiking outside or something!

Unfortunately not. I just get a 'this post is private' pop up.

Thanks for the info by the way - I had a good look at the post. I grabbed an egg for another look and there was movement this time - so still hope! Still Day 1 so perhaps they're being slow?! Temperature's been steady the whole time and I recounted the days just to make sure. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a hatch still.
