I am so sorry CynthSally, that was a beautiful video. Life coming into the world.
So sad right now, have been crying off and on all morning as I lost a friend last night. She was in church at an activity, went to sit down out in the foyer, and had a heart attack. Life, we never know. She was only 60. Going to be hard in church today. But will be there for sure, need to be there.
On a brighter note! I can't believe my little eggs go into lock down tomorrow night, officially Tues. but will have them set how I want them tomorrow night, and work on getting that humidity up on Tues. Then wait. I'm so happy that I have chicks coming soon.![]()
oh good!SALLY SUNSHINE,I read your page on hatching that was amazing, great job. That will help me so Mitch for this hatch, and future hatches to come.![]()

3. Movement - I NEED HELP WITH THIS AIR CELL!!!
It's quite wobbly, like it's unattached, but only on one side???? One half is very normal, the other takes a SEVERE dip when tilted, goes down almost half the egg. If I keep it directly upright, it does not dip very bad. HEEEEEELP!!! These pictures are all of the same egg (#3) HOW SHOULD I BE TURNING/RESTING THIS EGG? It was laying on it's side in the turner, should I put it back upright in the egg carton cup?? I need advice from you super experienced people! This is my most vigorous chick and I only have 2 for this breed!

AWESOME!!!!We've got some cheeping!![]()
I keep hearing it, and thinking "where in the world is that coming from?" Only to go "Duh, they're on day 19, they've probably got internal pips now". And when I go cheep back at them, they are silent![]()
oz put legs under his bator and then put round cereal bowls under the legs and fills with water to keep ants out. thats y I asked lolYes ants are really a menace here but we are stuck with them, what I do is leave the shell of the first hatched egg in the bator it attracts the ants then they leave the other eggs alone
Quote: I also thought about doing that but the ants will travel along the power cable wont they ?![]()
lets ask @ozexpat ants in the bator..... your legs on the bator and bowls of water.... what did you do about the power cable Thanks!I also thought about doing that but the ants will travel along the power cable wont they ?![]()
oh I thought you said it was in the cup..... keep in the cup how is that cup standing up lolNot sure why the blood rings happened. To be honest they were already present on day 6, I just wanted to make sure. So I can keep that crazy saddle cell on its side? I had put it back into one of the egg carton cups but can lay it back down too. What do you think? It's really wonky. (ignore the 3rd egg, it was the suspected blood ring that I couldn't bring myself to toss...juuust in case!)

The solution should be as simple as the legs... running the power cord through a bowl of water, too.lets ask @ozexpat ants in the bator..... your legs on the bator and bowls of water.... what did you do about the power cable Thanks!
oh I thought you said it was in the cup..... keep in the cup how is that cup standing up lol
