Science fiction book... In the past 14 days I have written 26,000 words. I have till the end of november to write 50,000.

Oh that's true, the other one wasn't getting it done. If it were me, I'd wait 2 or 3 egg cycles, then start testing them! Hopefully someone from the genetics threads will answer.

Did she choose the ones to cull? I can't even imagine culling one of those little cuties.

no I sent them with dad she didnt know there was a split up

@Sally Sunshine Have you ever considered increasing your rooster to hhen ratio? I read a collonca chicken thread where they mentioned increasing your rooster to hen ratio because of infertility issues with that breed. Might it work with yours?

yes, but I have a feeling its more a rooster size issue with these little serama and I am thinking I may need to trim some frizzle butts, I cant imagine how ugly the hens are going to look darnit! plus I really dont want more pens and more winter water issues

That could be it, or it could be they're readjusting the pecking order... another thought is, could they be going into molt? Mine kept laying through first half of molt, but ducked out on the boys so fertility dropped majorly... now they've stopped laying at all... :/

I'd set weekly to check fertility though... gather for a week, candle the night before to see if previous set is developing and set another if it's still low... keeping it on the same day of the week makes it easier to remember too...

Ok everyone..I'm in lock down. .as soon as I got humidity right..I'll be sitting on my hands..I'll sure some are duds ..from I candle with that lousy flashlight. But I left them anyways..

I got 1 Legbar egg in the last WEEK and lucky to get an egg from each pen every OTHER day...
