It's possible... they don't all hatch on day 21. Some may come sooner, some may come later. Only time will tell...Can anyone tell me if it will be an early Hatcher. One of the eggs during handling for lockdown, had a bunch of the veins absorbed.
It would be nice if they'd work around OUR schedules, wouldn't it? LOL!!!
Lockdown starting all 21 alive but the eggs aren't moving now that I have them on the meshSure everyone leaves and two chicks start to zip! One is out!![]()

uncover anything AND pull something out of your pocket! If you came here to be talked outta anything, you came to the wrong place!!![]()
And thank you... love my little ducks...![]()
She's a tiny girl with big personality, huh? You outta see her following me around the yard when I'm cleaning up... she knows I'll uncover something tasty, lol...
cleavage sure is, but get more than a few chicks your pretty much up the crick without a paddleGot the generator back up about 10 hrs after our went down. I slept with a chick most of the night. My husband said I'm a better hen than him, I guess cleavage gives an upper hand as far as warmth for chicks. Dunno about the eggs, they got down to 65 before the generator was fixed, about 5 min before loading then into the car. A total of 5 trees were down on the property. 3 that are leaning pretty bad, will be coming down next wind storm. I know why our power is out up here: in one stretch of road within 1 mile there were 4 trees in the power lines, and then on one of the highways there was a half mile stretch where all powerlines were down on the ground. Fun times...
be safe also!Hope you stay safe as well!
It's also on our doorstep in this part of Ohio.
:-(
Wow, all you guys going into lockdown make me sooooo jealous!!!
a question, what's the max number of eggs you have gotten under a bantam hen?? I'm gonna try and see if I can't get Jacey to go broody next spring, but she's the tiniest thing ever...... and I doubt any of my black sex links are gonna go broody.![]()
line and sinker eh!!!And on top of that, Someone just told me they found a local guy selling silkie eggs.... uh oh. First time hatcher last week and now IM HOOKED.
That's exactly what happened to me. I wanted silkies too but then I discovered that Ameraucanas come in a silkie feathered variety and they aren't mixed. Now I'm planning on getting some of those eggs.
such a pretty save!!!!!
Did you notice if there was a star in the East?
