Only sporadically. I'm getting like two eggs a day. I think a couple of the groups are about to pick up again though. I will pm you :)

Ok Thank You! I don't want or need a lot of eggs, I just want a few to fill up my incubator. I only have one hen laying right now so that is fun lol

These would just be used for lockdown and hatching. I have a turner in my incubator but I have a staggered hatch so I need to pull eggs out for lockdown. They are all shipped eggs so I fear wonky air cells if I lay them flat.

In that case, you'll need to warm the trays in the hatcher before moving eggs into it to prevent condensation and chilling. Plastic is a bit easier as it does not retain as much heat or cold, but those should certainly do a good job in every other aspect.

I'd be concerned about them being on the slippery side. Chicks might have a harder time getting out of them.

What hay bale???  OOOHHHH.... Just figured it out!  I'm just a tad slow.  Any more bales in your neck of the woods?  I'm without protection until spring due to snow taking down the netting.  Had to go out and finish up what the snow didn't do today.  Note to self:  Don't work under snow laden bird netting without having your hood pulled all the way up over your head.
After a week of incubation would there be degradation of the blastocyst so you couldn't tell?

I'd definitely add eggs laid on set date.

WV's plan will have ducks and chicks hatching same day.
You figured it out. Chicken "hay bale" was code :gig
No more hay bales lately.
I set 17 EEs and 7 BCM on the 14th. This is my first EE set since adding a rooster to the pen this summer. I'm curious to see how the hatch goes. If no one knows me from my previous thread ;) , I rarely candle. I just set them, add water, lockdown, and see what happens :D

So they look ok for size? And largest dip, just for the wonky cell, correct? All others the lowest point goes up, correct?
OH no I am so sorry

I wrote that wrong? ... you should have said something... no one did.now I am upset .. up like the picture, you should have smacked me... veny!!

largest dip up in the wonky up as well, unless you would feel more comfortable putting that one in an egg carton leaving it upright? you can do that too if its seriously dipped on two sides, but it looks like you can still see its saddled on the same side as the lowest dip?

UP UP UP lowest dip in air cell up always up

I am so sorry!!! see how flustered I have been these past two days.... yeee gads,,,, all you guys and no one said anything? oh I cant believe it

so you better go edit your post of my quote too, so I dont screw anyone else up <hangs head low> time to go stick my head in the toilet again
