Bator is being very good though, adjusting and holding temps nicely.
Good Morning.....problems?

Good Morning.....problems?

Sorta... I am getting mixed advice on the temp to run, and I don't know what to do since the LG is still air. I put in a probe thermo I had lying around (after testing it and finding it was 5 degrees off! ) and it is warming up now.

Looks like deer woods from here, so how bad could life be? Good Mornin' to ya.

They are deer woods. Lotsa tracks through my yard and all kinds of trails back there. Problem is i think they are ghost deer cause i dont see them much.

I think still air you want 102 on top of the eggs. Check Sallys notes.

Just going back through the many pages and noticed the lighting pattern. When the light goes out at night are the hens roosting already or do they have to find their roost in the dark.
Mine are usually in the coop before dark; more like late dusk. My prefab coop has a roost in it, but the birds have never used it; I think it's too cramped up there, due to the design of the roofline. prefer to sleep on the floor.

Ok. Just ordered some up should be there soon. Course it's coming USPS so..... :idunno :lau

Awesome on the bator.

I know, I am having no problems with it... YET.

I did, but I was told otherwise on my thread and I was told I should leave some room so a temp spike would not kill them since I am using a styro.
I am using a probe to see what the internal temp of an egg would be, (aiming for 99.8 but it dont count decimals) but I won't put too much stock in it as it is an old probe and I don't know if I did it right....

All of them will be dead of old age before you're not at work
