I had two buff brahmas hatch (well 3, but 1 died). They look drastically different from each other. One is mostly beige - on the top right in the photo. The other is more reddish, with a black stripe down it's back and has white patches on it's shoulders (just to the left of the lighter one). I'm guessing the darker one is a boy and the lighter is a girl? Or am I backwards?

Don't know about sexing them with color. Awesome on getting chicks.

Me either. I think I googled wood ducks jumping out of nest or something like that. They really leap out of their Nest with the mom calling them.
