I set some duck eggs last night

omg! I just went try it with my three Silkies I got yesterday.I held it over the one that looks like a roo it didn't move.Then held it over the two others and it spun.omg freaking out,its kinda creepy

Yep, all by themselves, lol. Pekin hens and KC drake. He isn't quite the stud he thinks he is so I'm worried about fertility. I gathered 6 but one was cracked. All have PERFECT air cells

Do I mark the air cells now or on day 7? I weighed them and hope to be able to notice the weight loss.

Almost forgot to update...

Out of 31 total, have 11 developing...

The 16 from the new group were infertile (think the drakes forgot to pack their little blue pills, lol), 8/12 of the shipped eggs are developing nicely, and all 3 of Lady Grey's eggs are developing...

It was exactly a week ago that it came and took my silkies. After that incident, we put up trail cams and have been looking every night... Came back last night for a snack, but no snack.

I think if you have a predator taking out your birds, you can shoot without a license, if you are in an area that allows shooting.

Chicken Hawk 33 - I stand corrected...hatch day is the 20th. I was counting down too just checked the calendar though and sure enough it's the 20th not the 19th. And those calendars don't lie
