27 hatched?

But once they're born, they're all worth it! I'm wondering how the heat was during incubation? Mine all seemed to pip by day 20, and the last few for this hatch actually hatched on day 21. So either my heat was running a little high, or yours a little low? :idunno

It was at 100 with an average humidity of 35%

Hey, I have 5 pipped now!

Sounds about where I ran mine, and now, I have it down to 99, instead of the 97 that I normally do, and I have it up more in humidity too..around 67

Anecdote:
I've hatched 7/34 in my last two hatches (Septemeber and October) and one passed away. I discovered after the fact that I had a wonky couple thermometers that meant that the heat in the bator was too high for the incubation period (by about 2 degrees). I believe that the 6 surviving chicks are all boys with only one that looks sort of girlish. I have heard that lower temps are good for hatching girls and higher temps are good for hatching boys. It won't change the genetics, but if there are losses then the proportions shift a little. This is not evidence as it is such a small sample size, but I find it interesting. Maybe I'm wrong about genders though. And the losses certainly aren't worth the experiment.

Perfect temps and humidity should result in ~100% hatch of 50/50 girls/boys.
